About Alfalfa

Alfalfa is a sweet 9-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing in at a perfect 14 pounds of lap-dog love. Originally adopted from us as a puppy in 2017, he has been deeply cherished ever since. Due to changes in his family’s circumstances, Alfalfa is now searching for a new forever home through no fault of his own.

Gentle and a little shy at first, Alfalfa blossoms once he feels safe and quickly becomes an affectionate cuddle companion who loves staying close to his person. After recently losing his bonded buddy, Taquito, he has been feeling lonely and would truly enjoy having a canine friend, though it is not required. He does well with other dogs, is cat-friendly, housebroken, and comfortable in apartment living and shared-wall environments. Alfalfa walks nicely on leash and currently uses a doggie door.

Neutered and up to date on vaccinations, Alfalfa is in great shape for his age and ready to settle into a calm, patient home where he can feel secure and loved.
